  MESSAGE FROM DR. COAKLEY

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Our Classroom Buddy Program is officially underway, offering yet another way we strengthen our sense of community at Peaslee School. In this program, upper-wing classes partner with lower-wing classes to work together on a wide range of projects. These partnerships offer many benefits, including increased student confidence, improved academic performance, and more positive peer interactions.

For younger students, the program provides valuable opportunities to practice collaboration and apply social skills in authentic, supportive settings. Older students gain the chance to reflect on their own participation, think critically about how their actions influence others, and develop thoughtful problem-solving and leadership skills. Above all, the program creates a fun, meaningful way for students to connect with one another.

I’d also like to invite all families to our first Math Information Night on December 3 at 6:00 p.m. at Lincoln Street School. Join us to learn more about our new math program, Eureka Math². We hope to see you there! This K–5 Math & ELA Curriculum Document provides more information about the program, as well as our other core instructional resources too.

Have a great weekend! Don't forget we have an early dismissal on Wednesday!

Dr. Mary Coakley, Principal
