In small partner groups, students are assigned one chapter of a nonfiction book about fall. They read the chapter while recording key details. Then they wrote the main idea of each chapter based on their details.

  MESSAGE FROM DR. COAKLEY

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

I’m delighted to see our students embracing their learning with energy and excitement. Our teachers have begun exploring the curriculum, designing lessons that foster both academic growth and social development. The positive, focused energy throughout the building has set a strong foundation for a successful and rewarding year ahead.

We invite community members to serve as facilitators for our annual Ed Camp, providing students with a rich variety of learning opportunities. Your diverse talents and expertise create engaging and inspiring experiences that tap into students’ interests and make for an outstanding learning environment.”

Don't forget about the Applefest Parade tomorrow!. Lineup will begin at 11:15 AM at Lincoln Street School, and the parade will start promptly at 12:00 PM. Show your school spirit and community pride by marching with teachers, staff, students, families and the PEASLEE PANDA

ANNOUNCEMENTS

E-BIKES AND E-SCOOTERS MESSAGE FROM KEITH LAVOIE-ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

The safety and well-being of our students and school community is always our top priority. Recently, we’ve seen more electronic bicycles (e-bikes) and scooters around our schools. While these devices are a popular way to get around, they can create safety risks due to their high speeds, limited visibility, and potential danger to riders, pedestrians, and drivers.

After careful review and consultation with the Northborough and Southborough Police Departments, e-bikes and e-scooters are now prohibited on all school campuses. This decision, made out of caution and concern for everyone’s safety, will help prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment for our students and families.

To support this protocol:

  • Signs will be posted at every school as a reminder.

  • School administrators will work with families to identify safe alternatives for traveling to and from school, including walking, using a traditional bicycle, riding the bus, or drop-off and pick-up by family members.

We appreciate your understanding and partnership as we take this important step to keep our campuses safe and welcoming for everyone. Thank you for supporting our efforts to protect our school community.
