HALLOWEEN AT PEASLEE SCHOOL
We are looking forward to a fun-filled Halloween this year. On October 31, our activities will focus on the fall season, and there will be no in-class activities specifically related to Halloween. Students will have the option to participate in a costume parade or take part in a craft activity in the cafeteria. The craft will not have any Halloween themes, making it a comfortable option for all students.
We encourage all families to send their children to school on October 31. If you have any questions or concerns about what your child will be doing that day, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher or Dr. Coakley. The Halloween Parade will take place from 9:00-9:20 am. An alternative craft activity will be available in the art room at the same time for students who prefer not to participate in the parade. If your child would prefer to do an art project with Mrs. Money, Please email your teacher to let them know if your child would prefer to attend the alternate activity. This will help us plan ahead.
HALLOWEEN PARADE- October 31, 2025 9:00-9:20 am
Students who are marching in the parade should arrive in costume between 8:35-8:55.
When the bell rings, students will line up in homerooms; teachers will meet their classes outside at 8:55. The parade is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am. If the buses are late, we will wait until they arrive before starting the parade. Walking or carpooling is recommended due to limited parking, and buses arriving at this time.
Fifth graders will lead the upper wing students around the back of the school, through the building and outside the front door. The lower wing joins behind the third graders once we arrive at the back of the building. We will make a second loop around the school, and then stop to pick up backpacks and return to classrooms.
We ask that parents drop off students for morning recess (8:35 am), and then park and remain in their cars until 8:55am when the school bell rings. Also, do not park in the driveway or bus lane, until after 8:55am.
Parents/Caregivers who walk to school should gather in front of the school near the blacktop closest to the parking lot at 8:55am. Once students are lined up, parents can gather just beyond the sidewalk around the back and front of the building. Be sure to stand in the grass or driveway so that students and staff may use the sidewalk for the parade.
We will be unable to call home for lost, or forgotten costumes or pieces. Additionally, there will not be time for students to change into costumes at school before the parade begins. Students should bring a change of clothes in a bag to wear after the parade. They will pack all pieces of costumes in their costume bag, and keep these in their backpacks to be taken home at the end of the day.
Dogs are not permitted on the premises.
The Northborough Library holds an annual Halloween Costume Swap. Check it out if you are looking for a costume this year. You do not have to bring one to get one. The costumes are located in the lobby of the library.
Costume Reminders
-Costumes should be non-violent and non-gruesome. They must be appropriate for a K-5 school community.
-No sharp objects, weapons or toy weapons of any kind will be allowed. Limit pieces, as they risk being lost.
-Masks and face paint are not allowed. Students will be asked to remove any mask brought to school.
-All students should wear clothing under their costumes. Costumes are not to be worn all day at school.
