Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We are excited about our Our 4th and 5th graders and their teachers Mrs. Makara and Mrs. Whalen have been working so hard, and they will perform for the first time this year at the Music Informance. I can’t wait to enjoy their progress together. on Monday, December 8th at 7:00.

Second and third graders will participate in the wonderful Wingmasters Program on December 9th. The Wingmasters program incorporates live birds of prey currently part of the rehabilitation process. LEGO DRIVE

This holiday season, the Kindness Club at Peaslee School is partnering with Matt’s Lego Drive for Kids with Cancer to bring smiles to the faces of kids facing a health crisis.  We are collecting new sets of Legos that will be donated to Why Me, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing love and support to families with childhood cancer. Please consider donating a set of Legos (unwrapped), from beginner to advanced, to children in need.

For more information about Why Me and Sherry’s House, please go to https://whyme.org/sherrys-house.

A donation box will be in the Peaslee lobby from

Monday, December 1st to Friday, December 19th.

On behalf of the kids, their parents and the Why Me organization, thank you for your donations and kindness.

With Gratitude,

STREAMLINING NOTIFICATIONS FOR POSTS

We're excited to announce an improvement to how you receive notifications for posts from our school. Soon, if you use the ParentSquare app and have both app and text notifications turned on, you'll receive post notifications through the app, with text notifications sent only as a backup when needed. This smart delivery system will simplify and streamline how you receive your school communications.

What's changing?

Currently, you might receive duplicate notifications for posts via both the app and text message.

With this update:

  • App-first delivery, with text as fallback: When a post is shared, you'll receive a notification through the app first, with a backup text notification only if needed. This applies to posts, post digests, and updates to posts.

  • No change for time-sensitive messages: Direct Messages and alerts will continue to be delivered via your preferred methods.

Why it’s changing

This change streamlines how you receive post notifications. By reducing the number of notifications sent to your device for each post, it will be easier for you to keep track of school updates in one place.

What do you need to do?

No action is required from your side! If you already use the app and have both app and text notifications turned on, you'll automatically benefit from this smart notification delivery.

If you haven’t downloaded the ParentSquare app or turned on app notifications, now is a great time to do so. This gives you the best way to access and customize classroom communications on your mobile device.

To learn more about this change, see ParentSquare's Help Article.

A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! We celebrate our student and staff birthdays during daily announcements lead by fourth graders and in our monthly community school meetings.
Look who remembered their Magic 5!
To celebrate learning about “Word Play” and finishing The Phantom Tollbooth, students in Mrs. Daunais’s class “visited” different places and “met” different characters from the book while enjoying games that relate to the Module of Study.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR STUDENTS OF THE MONTH!
