Marguerite E. Peaslee Elementary School
A Vibrant Student Centered Learning Community

Good Afternoon Peaslee Families,

We had a very busy week filled with excitement as we focused on reading and celebrated 24.000 minutes of reading. We are so close to meeting our Read-a-Thon goal of 27,000 minutes. If we meet this goal student will be treated to a Staff Masked Singer Performance! We are all very excited!

We also want to remind you that the PTO are hosting the Wizards game on April 10th. The flyer included below provides information about purchasing tickets. This is a very popular Northborough community event, so there is a chance tickets will sell out. If you are interested in attending, we encourage you to purchase tickets soon.

Additionally, we want to be sure our Grade 5 families are aware of the Melican Middle School Orientation Night this upcoming Thursday, March 26th at 7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what next year will look like as your child transitions to middle school.

To all of our families celebrating, Eid Mubarak! We wish you a joyful and peaceful Eid al-Fitr.

As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, March 23rd, as staff will be attending professional development sessions.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Dr. Mary Coakley, Principal

KEEP READING! PTO Read-A-Thon

Students have been doing great, they have reached 24,000 minutes. We are still working to meet the 27, 000 minutes of reading goal. We want to celebrate the student's hard work so we will be putting on a Masked Singer Show to celebrate with them. Teachers will log students on to provide minutes for them to when they do sustained silent reading during the day. Please reach out to your student's teacher if you have any questions.

TECHNOLOGY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED- YOUR HELP HAS BEEN SO AWESOME-THANK YOU!

If you or even a grandparent are willing to volunteer we are in need of your support during the technology class. No prior knowledge is needed. You are there simply to support our students to follow the directions. It’s a fun way to see what your kids are up to during this fun class. Be sure to complete a CORI form in the office before volunteering. This takes a few days to complete.

Mrs. Parron Thanks you so much!
