Marguerite E. Peaslee Elementary School
A Vibrant Student Centered Learning Community

Good Afternoon Peaslee Families,

We would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Ahmed for visiting Mrs. Herdman’s class last week! She shared about Eid and guided students in creating beautiful lanterns. The class was fully engaged, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine curiosity. We are so grateful when families take the time to share their traditions and experience.

Strengthening connections with our families and caregivers remains a priority for us. We are committed to creating opportunities for you to engage with what’s happening at school in ways that feel meaningful and accessible. Being part of our community looks different for every family, whether it’s volunteering as a technology helper, supporting PTO events, contributing to teacher appreciation, serving as a grade-level parent, designing the yearbook, attending WALK to SCHOOL DAY, helping from home, participating in the School Advisory Council, or attending concerts, field trips, conferences, and classroom events.

We deeply appreciate the many ways you partner with us to support our school community. If you would like to share your ideas for how we can continue to grow these connections, I would love to hear from you. Our goal is to build on the strong foundation we have so that every family feels welcomed, valued, and connected in ways that work best for them.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Dr. Mary Coakley, Principal

PTO Read-A-Thon Update

We are thrilled to share that we have surpassed our goal—reaching over 47,880 minutes of reading as of 8:00 AM today! This is an incredible accomplishment, and we couldn’t be more proud of our teachers and students’ dedication and enthusiasm. To celebrate all of their hard work, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting a Masked Singer Show soon—it’s going to be a fun and memorable way to recognize their achievement!

INTERNATIONAL EDIBLE BOOK DAY -WEDNESDAY AND IT'S NO JOKE!
During lunch, students will see book-themed food displays inspired by popular stories. The celebration is designed to spark curiosity, encourage conversations about reading, and make the cafeteria an extension of the learning
environment. By linking nutrition to reading and creativity, we demonstrate our commitment to fueling students' success while serving as an educational partner in the school communities we support. We look forward to celebrating with your children and sharing the joy of reading, imagination, and good food together! LOOK for more information in a post about the day on March 29th.
