THE HOME TEAM -HARLEM WIZARDS COMMUNITY BASKETBALL GAME 2026

Marguerite E. Peaslee Elementary School
A Vibrant Student Centered Learning Community

Dear Peaslee Families,

This afternoon we gathered in our Panda families.  Our recent discussion focused on celebrating the many positive ways we work together as a community. We take great pride in our school and in how we support one another each day. Students explored and shared slogans that reflect who we are, offering thoughtful and creative examples of what it truly means to be a Peaslee Panda. It was especially meaningful to hear about the engaging conversations and inspiring ideas that continued as students connected with their families.

Thank you to our AMAZING PTO for organizing such a wonderful Wizards Basketball Game for the Northboro schools. Your efforts made it a memorable experience for everyone who attended. I know this was no small undertaking, and the teachers, staff, and I deeply appreciate the time, energy, and care you put into making it so special. It was especially enjoyable to watch the students sing, dance, and cheer on the players throughout the night. Thank you also to our staff and Northboro community members who joined the team and volunteered at the game. Together your support and involvement helped make the event such a success, and we are grateful for your time and commitment to our school community.

After returning from school vacation week, we will resume the MCAS testing. Our Grade 3 and Grade 5 students will take the math assessment on Monday and Wednesday. Students have been doing a wonderful job, and we are proud of their effort and preparation.

Thank you to families for helping ensure that students arrive at school on time. Test administration begins promptly at 9:05 a.m. each morning. Arriving on time and minimizing the need for make-up sessions helps reduce disruptions to the overall school schedule.

I hope everyone enjoys their week off! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Sincerely,

Dr. Mary Coakley, Peaslee Principal
