Dear Peaslee Families,

As we enter the final months of the school year, it's time to start planning for the upcoming academic year. Between May and June, our staff collaborates to carefully consider the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student for the next school year. While student placements won't be shared with families until August due to enrollment changes and budget factors, we value the additional insights parents can provide about their child's unique qualities and preferences.

Here’s how you can contribute:

Fill out the Placement Input Form by May 11th to share information about your child. Include details about your child's interests, concerns, and preferred learning environment. Avoid requesting specific teachers or identifying other students in your feedback.

Reach out to directly to me with any questions about the form or placement process.

We appreciate your cooperation in making the student placement process fair and beneficial for all students.

Stay tuned for further communication about the placement timeline in August.

Dr. Mary Coakley, Peaslee Principal

MCAS THIS WEEK

MCAS testing is going well, and our students have been working incredibly hard. We are so proud of their effort, focus, and perseverance! Just a reminder, Grade 4 MCAS is May 7th and 8th. They will be taking the the Math Section. To help the testing process run smoothly, we appreciate your assistance in ensuring your child is at school and arrives on time each day. We will begin testing at 9:05 am each morning. Arriving promptly and minimizing make-up sessions helps reduce disruptions to the overall school schedule. We know our students are ready to do their best, and we’re proud of all their effort and preparation.
