Field Day 2026

Dear Peaslee Families,

First, I have to give a shout-out to Mr. McAuliffe, our amazing Field Day volunteers, and the families who came to watch—and those who stayed for lunch. It is always an unforgettable way to finish out the year. The best part? Mother Nature cooperated beautifully—we had the perfect weather for a day of games, laughter, and pure celebration. Our students had a blast, and honestly, so did we. Thank you for making memories that will stick with them long after summer break ends.
As we head into our final week, I want to pause and celebrate our fifth-grade class as they prepare to close this chapter at Peaslee and open an exciting new one at middle school. These students have grown so much, and we cannot wait to celebrate them—and you—at our Promotion Ceremony this Wednesday morning.

Looking back, the past ten months have been truly special. We've watched our students try, persist, learn, and ultimately grow, and not just academically, but as thoughtful, resilient, and caring people. We could not have done this without you. Your partnership, encouragement, and support have been the backbone of everything we do here at Peaslee. Together, we've created a community where every child feels safe, challenged, and connected. That's something to be incredibly proud of.

As you start dreaming about next year, mark your calendars: class placement information will go out via ParentSquare on August 19. We'll see you back here on Tuesday, September 1, for the first day of school!

Enjoy the events this week, and soak up every moment of summer. See you next year!

With gratitude and joy,

Dr. Mary Coakley

END OF YEAR STAFFING UPDATE
As we close out another wonderful school year, I would like to take a moment to thank our entire Peaslee staff for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to our students. Their care, professionalism, and teamwork make our school such a special place, and I am deeply grateful for all they do each and every day.

This time of year also brings some bittersweet goodbyes. After 24 years of dedicated service to the Peaslee community, Mrs. L.P. will be retiring. Her impact on students and families has been extraordinary, and she will be greatly missed.
Throughout her career, she has been a caring presence, a trusted resource, and a source of comfort for countless students, families, and staff members. Her kindness, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others have touched the lives of so many. The impact she has made over the years is immeasurable, and her legacy will remain a part of our school community for years to come. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement.

We also wish Mrs. Grady. all the best as she returns to Zeh School to teach fourth grade.  While we will miss her positive energy and dedication, we are excited for her as she returns to a familiar school community and embraces this next opportunity. We know she will continue to inspire and support her students in her new role.

In addition, two teaching assistants from Mrs. Fitzgerald's classroom Ms. Baker and Mr. Lyman will be embarking on new adventures next year. We thank them for the care and support they have provided to our students and wish them success and happiness in their future endeavors.

Please join me in thanking all of these valued members of our school community and wishing them the very best in the next chapter of their journeys. Additionally, the next section includes a list of teachers and educators who will return for the 2026-2027 School year.
