Dear Peaslee Students, Families and Caregivers,
As we prepare for the start of another wonderful school year, there is always so much happening behind the scenes to get everything ready for our students. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible custodial team, Mr. Baez and Mrs. Baez, for their hard work in making our little school shine for opening day on September 1st. We are also so grateful to our wonderful PTO for organizing the EPI kits, which will be waiting in classrooms when school begins on September 1st.
Back-to-school season is the perfect time to reset our daily routines and spark a fresh love for learning. If there is one habit to build into your family’s evening rhythm this year, let it be reading! Spending time with stories each night opens up new worlds, builds confidence, and fosters a lifelong joy for reading. Reading together or giving your child quiet time to dive into a good book builds incredible vocabulary, sparks curiosity, and helps children discover just how much fun reading can be.
Enjoy these final summer moments, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back soon!

NOTES FROM THE NURSE
Medications, doctor's orders, or health action plans can be dropped off to our Peaslee School Nurse located in the main office. Ms. Glau Barcelos will be available on Thursday, August 27th, 1:15 and 2:30 PM and Monday, August 31st, 8:30-2:30 PM. If this is not convenient for you, please email Ms. Glau at gbarcelos@nsboro.k12.ma.us
Kindergarten students and incoming fourth-graders are required to have physicals to be eligible to begin school. Physicals must be within a year of each other for students to be eligible to begin school on September 1st. You may drop off a copy or email Nurse Glau.

If you need to report your child absent, you can now use this email address: peasleeattendance@nsboro.k12.ma.us. Please be sure to include your child's name, teacher, and reason for their absence. You can also report an absence by phone at our main line (508) 351-7035.

PEASLEE SCHOOL HANDBOOK
Please take a few minutes to read through our HANDBOOK to help ensure a smooth, safe, and positive start to the year.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our classrooms focused, and respectful. While the handbook covers all of our school guidelines, here are a few key reminders to keep in mind as we begin the new school year.
Cell Phones & Electronic Devices-To maintain a safe, focused learning environment, cell phones and smart devices must remain off and packed away during the school day.

Media Privacy: Students may not photograph, audio record, or video staff or peers without express permission from a supervising staff member.

Communication: Students should not call, text, or message family members during the school day. If a student needs to reach home, or if you need to contact your child, please contact the main office directly.

Personal Responsibility: We encourage families to monitor what devices are brought to school. The school is not responsible for lost or damaged personal electronics. Devices used in violation of this policy may be safely held in the office for a parent or guardian to pick up.
Toys, Trading Cards & Items from Home- To avoid distractions, lost treasures, or peer misunderstandings, personal items should stay at home.

Personal Belongings: Toys, action figures, and trading cards should remain at home unless a teacher specifically requests them for a special activity. If your child attends NEDP, please remind them that personal items must stay inside their backpacks.

Distributions: Students should not bring items, treats, or flyers to hand out to classmates without prior approval from a teacher or administrator.
