Peaslee Spirit Day!

Marguerite E. Peaslee Elementary School
GROWING MINDS~BUILDING COMMUNITY~INSPIRING POSSIBILITY
Dear Peaslee Students, Families and Caregivers,

Good Vibes and High Fives to our students, staff, and families for making the first six days of school such a positive and successful start!

We have spent this time getting to know our new classrooms, friends, and teachers. We’ve explored new ways of learning, set both short- and long-term goals, reviewed and practiced routines, and followed procedures.

We are excited to share our K-5 Math & ELA Curriculum Information, which provides more information about our literacy and math programs, as well as our other core instructional resources. As always, if you have any questions about what your child is learning or how they are progressing, please reach out to their teacher.

We look forward to seeing you at our annual Open House on Thursday, September 10th, from 6:00–7:30 PM. This is a casual community event for families and students to visit classrooms and meet teachers. Be sure to stop by the PTO Back to School Gathering from 5-6:00 PM to connect with friends and family, purchase a Uhlman’s ice cream cone, enjoy the music, playground, and bubbles, then come inside to visit the office, school, specialists, teachers, and classrooms.

Please note that September 10th is an early release day for students. Dismissal will be at 12:05 PMThis year, we will be serving lunch every half day. Children can bring their own lunch or snack from home or order lunch. We have planned a time during the morning to get lunch from the cafe and eat in the classrooms.

Please complete the Early Release Planning and RSVP for Lunch form below if you want your child to receive a school lunch on September 10, 2026. Included in this one form are questions about your child’s Early Dismissal plans. If we do not receive any information back from you, we will send your child home using their typical routine for that day of the week.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

If you are interested in volunteering at PEASLEE and seeing the kids in action, please consider signing up &  volunteering in the Tech Lab for computer classes on Wednesdays. TRUST me, it's easier than you think. Last year we had moms, dads, & grandmas volunteer to work with the classes.  You would be following a few simple directions and guiding the students to do the same.  All is explained and easy to follow.  Please be sure to fill out a CORI form in the office.  (These take a few days to clear, so be sure to do this a week before you plan to volunteer.  These forms are good for 2 years)

Thank you and I look forward to having you join our tech classes!
