Dear Peaslee Students, Families and Caregivers,
On October 30, our school activities will focus on the fall season rather than Halloween celebrations. We strive to make this a fun, lighthearted, and inclusive day for all students.
During the morning block from 9:00 to 9:20 AM, students will have two great options to choose from:
Fall Costume Parade: Students can participate in a parade outdoors. All costumes must be school-appropriate for a K–5 community (no weapons, masks, or overly scary themes).
Fall Art Project: Students can head to the Library for a fun, engaging fall art activity that is completely independent of Halloween themes.
To help us plan ahead, please email your child’s teacher by October 27th to let them know which activity your child would prefer to attend. If we do not hear from you, your child will walk in the parade. If your child prefers not to participate in either option, we encourage you to bring them to school at 9:25 AM.
We cannot stress enough how much we want all students at school on October 30th, as the vast majority of the day will follow a typical learning schedule. Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions about the schedule or logistics.
Community Notes & Reminders:
-
Costume Swap: The town library is holding its annual costume swap in the lobby! You do not need to donate a costume to pick one up. If you have extra gently used costumes at home that you would like to donate, feel free to send them in with your child or drop them off at the library.
-
Parent-Teacher Conferences: On November 3rd at 3:00 PM, teachers will send an email via ParentSquare with sign-up details for upcoming conferences on November 17th and November 19th. Conferences are a valuable opportunity to collaborate and support your child’s learning journey. Please note that both conference dates will be early dismissal days at 12:05 PM. We will be sending a google form sign up for lunch orders and dismissal plans next week.
Enjoy the long weekend! As always, please reach out if you have any questions.
